The length of a rectangle is 14 more than its bredth.If the perimeter is 448 cm,find the dimensions of the rectangle.

let the breadth be x
length = x + 14

perimeter= 448cm

perimeter= 2(length + breadth)
448 = 2(x + x+14)

 \frac{448}{2}  = 2x + 14
224 = 2x + 14

224 - 14 = 2x

210 = 2x

x = 210/2

x= 105

therefore,

breadth = x = 105cm

length = x + 14 = 105 + 14 = 119cm
