perimeter of square=4×side

=4×12.5

=50cm

let the breadth of rectangle be x cm

perimeter of rectangle=2(length+breadth)
50=2(16+x)

50=32+2x

2x=18

x=9

therefore breadth of rectangle=9cm

area of rectangle=length×breadth

=16×9

=144 cm^2

square:
side=12.5 cm
p=4a
  =4*12.5
  =50cm
p of rectangle = p of square            (given)
p of rectangle = 50cm

rectangle:
length = 16cm
p=50cm
p=2(l+b)
=2(16+b)
50=32+2b
18=2b
b=9cm

area=lb
16cm*9cm
=144cm²
