Let the breadth be x and then length will be 2x-16

Perimeter of rectangle =2(x+2x-16)

112=2(3x-16)

112/2 =3x-16

56=3x-16

56+16=3x

72=3x

72/3=x

24=x

Then the breadth is 24m and lenght is (2*24)-16=48-16 =32

I hope this will help you

your answer goes like this

let ,

breadth of the rectangle to x

then , length of rectangle is 2x - 16

Perimeter of rectangle is 2 ( l + b ) = 112

=> 2 ( 2x - 16 + x ) =112

=> 3x - 16 = 112/2

=> 3x - 16 = 56

=> 3x = 56+16

=> 3x = 72

=> x = 72 / 3

=> x = 24

there fore,

length of rectangle = x = 24m

breadth of rectangle is 2x - 16 = ( 2× 24 - 16 ) = 48 - 16 = 32m
