Hi ,

Let the breadth of the rectangle = x m

length = ( 2x - 16 )m

Perimeter ( p ) = 112 m

2 ( length + breadth ) = 112

( 2x - 16 + x ) = 112/2

3x - 16 = 56

3x = 56 + 16

3x = 72

x = 72/3

x = 24

Therefore ,

Breadth = x = 24 m

Length = 2x - 16

= 2 × 24 - 16

= 48 - 16

= 32 m

I hope this helps you.
