The length of a rectangle is 17cm more than its breadth. Its perimeter is 234cm. Find
the dimensions of the rectangle.​

let the breadth of rectangle = x

then, length =( 17 +x)cm

perimeter = 234cm

perimeter of rectangle =2(l + b)

234=2[(17+x) +x]

234÷2=17+2x

117-17=2x

100=2x

x= 100÷2

x= 50

so, breadth= 50 cm

and length = (17 +x)

= 17 +50

=67cm
