The length of a rectangle is 1cm more than twice of it's breadth. If perimeter of the rectangle is 110cm then find the length and breadth of the rectangle

Given,

it is a rectangle

perimeter = 110cm

Let the breadth be x

then according to the question, length = 2(x)+1 = 2x+1

we know that,

perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b) (where l is length and b is breadth)

110 = 2(2x+1+x)

110 = 2(3x+1)

110 = 6x +2

110 - 2 = 6x

108 = 6x

\frac{108}{6} = x

18cm = x

Hence,

breadth = 18cm

length = 2(18)+1 = 36+1 = 37cm

Hope it helps!

Have a great day!
