the length of a rectangle is 2 cm more than its breadth , and its perimeter is 28 cm . find the length and breadth of the rectangle

Let length be l then breadth will be  l - 2

We are given , 2(l+b) = 28
                so, 2(l+l-2) = 28
                   so, 2(2l-2) = 28
         so, 2l - 2 = 14
             so, l = 16/2 = 8

Hence Length = 8 cm
        and breadth = 6 cm

2(x+x+2)= 28
2x+2=28/2
2x=14-2
x=12/2=6 so breadth 6 and length 8
