then,

the length will be (L)=(x+2)cm ....(1)

perimeter of rectangle=48cm

2(L+B)=48cm

L+B = 48/2

L+B =24

putting value of L and B from above

x+2+x=24

2x+2=24

2x=24-2

2x=22

x=22/2

x=11

putting x in equation 1

length= 13 cm

finding area of rectangle

area= Length × Breadth

area=11×13

area= 143cm²
