Answer:

length=5,Breadth=1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

The length of a rectangle is 2 more than 3 times its breadth.

let length=L

   breadth=b

l-3*b=2  ------(1)

If both length and breadth are increased by  3 units,

new length=L+3

new breadth=b+3

perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

new perimeter of rectangle =2(L+3+b+3)

                                              =2(L+b+6)

the new perimeter becomes 2 times the original.

2(L+b+6)=2*2(l+b)

L+b=6    ------(2)

by solving (1) and (2) equations we get,

L=5,b=1
