Let Breadth of rectangle be X cm.

Length of rectangle = 2X cm.

Perimeter of rectangle = 60 cm

2 ( L + B ) = 60 cm

2 ( 2X + X ) = 60 cm

3X = 30

X = 30/3

X = 10 cm.

Breadth of rectangle = X = 10 cm.

And,

Length of rectangle = 2X = 2 × 10 = 20 cm.

Answer:

Concept: perimeter of the rectangle which is twice the summation  of length and breadth .

Given: The length of a rectangle is 2 times and its breadth its perimeter is 60 cm.

To find: the length and breadth of the rectangle.

Step-by-step explanation:

a rectangle is the shape whose opposite sides are equal.

so let the breadth  of the rectangle be x .( as the question says)

then the length of the rectangle is 2x.

so, 2*(l+b)=60

or, 2*(x+2x)=60

or, 3x=30

or, x=10

so, the breadth of the rectangle is 10cm, so the length of the rectangle is 2*10cm which is 20cm.
