Let the breadth of the rectangle be x.

Let the length of the rectangle be 20+x

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

Solving Process: 100= 2(20+x+x)

100= 2(20+2x)

100=40+4x

100-40=4x

60=4x

60÷4=x

15=x

: 15cm= breadth

:20+x=20+15=35 cm= length

Answer:

l = 35 , b = 15

Step-by-step explanation:

l = b+ 20

b= b

p = 100cm

p = 2 (l+b)

100 = 2 (2b + 20)

100/2 = 2b+ 20

50 = 2b+ 20

50 - 20 = 2b

30= 2b

b= 30/2

b = 15

therefore , breath is 15 cm and length is 15+ 20 =35

hope it helps!!
