The length of a rectangle is 20 cm more than its breath if the perimeter is 100 cm find the dimenson of the rectrangle

solution is as follows

LET the breadth  be x

then , according to the question

Length will be 20+x

Given,

Perimeter=100

We know that 

Perimeter = 2(l+b)

          100 = 2(20+x+x)

          100=40+4x

            4x=60

              x=15 cm

Breadth=x= 15cm

Length=20+x=20+15=35 cm
              
     
 so,
 length=35cm
 and
breath =15 cm
