Given

Length of rectangle is 27m longer than breadth

Perimeter = 110 m

To Find

Area of rectangle

Solution

Let the breadth of rectangle be x so the length will be x + 27

perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth )

110 =2 ( x + x + 27 )

110 = 2 ( 2x + 27 )

110 = 4x + 54

4x = 110 - 54

4x = 56

x = 56/4

x = 14 m

so the breadth of rectangle is 14 cm

and the length is 41 m

Area of rectangle = breadth × length

= 14 × 41

= 574 m^2

so the area of rectangle is 574 m^2
