Given:

  • Length of Rectangle is 27 m longer than its breadth.
  • Perimeter of Rectangle is 110 m.

To find:

  • Area of rectangle?

Solution:

Length of Rectangle is 27 m longer than its breadth.

⠀⠀⠀⌬ Let Breadth of rectangle be x cm.

⠀⠀⠀⌬ Then, Length of rectangle is (x + 27) m

We know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

Now Putting value in formula,

⇏ 2((x + 27) + x) = 110

⇏ 2(2x + 27) = 110

⇏ 2x + 27 = 110/2

⇏ 2x + 27 = 55

⇏ 2x = 55 - 27

⇏ 2x = 28

⇏ x = 28/2

⇏ x = 14

Therefore,

  • Breadth of rectangle = x = 14 m
  • Length of rectangle = (x + 27) = 14 + 27 = 41 m

Now, Finding area of rectangle,

Area = length × breadth

⇏ 14 × 41

574 m²

∴ Hence, Area of rectangle is 574 m².
