Let the breadth of the rectangle be xcm. Then according to question it's length will be x+3cm.

Also given that perimeter of the rectangle=78cm.
Therefore, 2(l+b)=78
2(x+3+x)= 78

2(2x+3)=78
4x+6=78
4x=78-6
x= 72/4
x= 18cm

Therefore,the breadth is x=18cm
and length=x+3= 18+3=21cm.

Area of rectangle= l×b=> 21cm×18cm
= 378cm².
