l be length of rectangle.

b be breadth of the rectangle.

from given condition length is 3 times greater than breadth.

l = 3 + b.

also given perimeter is 34 cm.

we know perimeter of rectangle is 2*(l + b).

2*(l + b) = 34 cm.

as l = 3 + b.

3 + b + b =34/2.

3 + 2b = 17.

2b = 17-3.

2b = 14.

b = 7 cm (breadth).

l = 3 + b = 3 + 7 = 10 cm (length).
