Given that the length of a rectangle is 3 cm more than its breadth, this can be written as:

Let the breadth of rectangle be x,

So,

Length = x + 3

Given,

Perimeter = 54 cm

Sum of all 4 sides of rectangle = 54 cm

==> 2 ( Length + Breadth ) = 54

===> Length + Breadth = 27

===> x + 3 + x = 27 { We took, breadth x cm }

===> 2x = 24

===> x = 12

So, Breadth of rectangle = 12 cm

And,

Length of rectangle = 15 cm
