Length and breadth of Rectangle
Let the :-
Breadth (b) = 'x' cm
Then,
Length (l) = (2x - 3) cm. ---(1)
Now,
Perimeter of Rectangle = 42
We know that,
Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b)
So,
➵ 2(l + b) = 42
➵ ( l + b) = 42/2 = 21
➵ (2x - 3) + x = 21. ----from (1)
➵ 2x + x = 21 + 3
➵ 3x = 24
➵ x = 24/3 = 8
Hence,
- Length of Rectangle = (2x - 3) = 2×8 - 3 = 16-3 = 13 cm
- Breadth of Rectangle = x = 8 cm
