Answer:

Let the breadth of rectangle be x

Length of rectangle be (2*X) - 3

Perimeter of rectangle = 114 m

PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE = 2(L+b)

THEREFORE,

2(X+2X-3) = 114 m

=> 2(3X-3) = 114 m

=> 6X-6 = 114 m

=> 6x = 114+6 m

=> X = 120/6 m

=> X = 20 m.

therefore,

length of rectangle = 2X-3 = 2*20-3 = 40-3 = 37 m

breadth of rectangle = X = 20 m

Let the breadth (b)= x
Length(l)=2x-3
Perimeter of a rectangle =2(l+b)=114
2(x+2x-3)=114
2x+4x-6=114 (just opened the bracket)
6x=114+6
6x=120
X=120/6
X=20
Therefore breadth =20m
Length =2x-3= 2*30-3= 57
And here is your answer
Hope this helped
