Answer:

width= 6 cm length= 9 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let width =’x’cm

Length=x+3

Perimeter=30 cm

2(l+b)=30

l+b=15

x+3+x=15

2x=12

x=6

width =6 cm

length=x+3=6+3=9 cm

Given \:  ,  \: Perimeter   \: = 30

Let's \:  width  \: (b/w) = \:  x  \:  \\ Length (l)  = \:  x + 3

Perimeter  \: of  \: rectangle = \\  2(l+b)

30  =  2 [(x + 3) + (x)]

30  =  2 (x + 3 + x)

30  =  2 (2x + 3 )

 \frac{30}{2}  = 2x + 3

15 = 2x + 3

2 x = 15 - 3

2x = 12

x =  \frac{12}{2}

x = 6

Therefore \:  ,  \: width = 6 cm

And \: length = x + 3 = 6 + 3   \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: = 9cm
