Hey

Here is your answer,

Let the length be l and breadth be b.

l=3b

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
2(l+b) = 96

Substitute l=3b in the equation,

2(3b+b)=96
4b=96/2
4b = 48
b = 48/4
b = 12 cm

Length = 3b
= 3 x 12
= 36

Hope it helps you!

2(3b + b) = 96  \\ 6b + 2b = 96 \\ 8b = 96 \\b = 96 \div 8 \\ b = 12 \\ then \: lenth \: of \: rectangle \: 12 \times 3 = 36
