  • The length of rectangle is 3 times

        of its breadth

  • The perimeter is 84 metre

To find :

  • The length of the rectangle

Let's solve,

Let the breadth of rectangle is x

then length will be 3x

⇒Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (l + b)

⇒84 = 2 (3x + x)

⇒84 = 2 (4x)

⇒84 = 8x

⇒x = 84/8

∴ x = 10.5 m

So,

  Length = 3x

               = 3 × 10.5 m

               = 31.5 m

 Breadth = x = 10.5
