Answer:

4=b,l=7

Step-by-step explanation:

b=b

l=b+3

p=22=2(l+b)

   22=2(b+3+b)

22/2=2b+3

      11=2b+3

    11-3=2b

8=2b

8/2=b

4=b

l=b+3=4=3=7

Answer:

  • Length of rectangle is 7 units.
  • Breadth of rectangle is 4 units.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find:-

  • Length and Breadth of rectangle.

Solution:-

Let, Breadth of rectangle be 'x'.

And Length of rectangle be 'x + 3'.

We know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

In which,

  • l and b are length and Breadth of rectangle respectively.

Perimeter of rectangle = 22 units

Put l , b and perimeter of rectangle in formula :

➝ 22 = 2×(x + 3 + x )

➝ 22 = 2x + 6 + 2x

➝ 22 - 6 = 4x

➝ 16 = 4x

➝ 16/4 = x

➝ 4 = x

Or, x = 4

We have taken Breadth to be x and x is 4. So, Breadth of rectangle is 4 units.

And we have also taken length to be x + 3.

So, 4 + 3 = 7

Thus, Length of rectangle is 7 units.
