Hello, Buddy!!

Given:-

  • Length of Rectangle is 36cm.
  • Length of diagonal of the rectangle is 37cm.

To Find:-

  • Breadth of Rectangle.

Required Solution:-

Let,

ABCD is the Rectangle

Breadth be x

Then, AB = CD → 36cm

AC = BD → 37cm

Now,In ∆ABC, Angle B is 90°

  • As, Every Angle of a Rectangle is a Right Angle [90°]

By Pythagoras Theorem.

  • (Hypothenuse)² = (Side)²+(Side)²

→ (AC)² = (AB)²+(BC)²

→ (37)² = (36)²+(x)²

→ (x)² = 1369-1296

→ x = √(73)

→ x = 8.544

  • Diagonal of Rectangle ☞ 8.544cm

✧ Diagonals of a Rectangle divides it into two Congruent Triangles.
