Let Breadth be x cm.

Length = x + 3 cm

Perimeter = 2 ( l + b )

46 = 2 ( x + x + 3 )

46 = 2 ( 2x + 3 )

46 = 4x + 6

46 - 6 = 4x

40 = 4x

40/4 = x

10 = x

Breadth = x = 10 cm

Length = x + 3 = 10 + 3 cm = 13 cm

Answer:

LENGTH = 13 CM

BREADTH = 10 CM

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth of rectangle be X cm

then, the length of rectanGle is =X +3 cm   (given)

now, according to question-

PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE = 46 cm

2 (LENGTH *BREADTH)= 46 cm

2 (x+x+3)= 46 cm

4X+6=46 CM

4X=46-6cm

X=40/4 cm

X= 10 Cm

breadth=x=10 cm

length = x+3 = 13 cm
