let the breadth be X cm

then the length=3+X cm

perimeter of the rectangle =34cm

according to the probLem,

34cm=2(length+breadth)

34cm=2(3+X+X)cm

34=2(3+2x)

34=6+4x

34-6=4x

28=4x

X=28/4

X=7

therefore the breadth of the rectangle is 7cm and length is 10cm.

hope helps....♥❤☺
