Let width be x
length=3+x

2(l+b)=54

2(x+3+x)=54

2x+3=27

2x=24

x=12

width=12 cm

length=15 cm

Let the width of rectangle be x m
So, the length of rectangle be 3+x m

A.T.Q.

2(x+3+x) = 54
=> 2x+6+2x = 54
=> 4x = 54-6
=> 4x = 48
=> x = 48/4
=> x = 12

Therefore,

⚫ Length of rec.
= x m
= 12m

⚫ Width of rec.
= 3+x m
= 3+12m
= 15m

As,
Perimeter of rec.
= 2×(12+15) cm
= 2×27 cm
= 54 cm
