the length of a rectangle is 3m more than its width. if both length and weight are decreased by 2 metre the area is decreased by 18 square metre find the dimensions of the rectangle?

(l-2)*(b-2) = lb-18

lb- 2l-2b +4 = lb-18

2l-2b + 4 = -18

2l- 2b = -22

you can put the value from eq.1 and solve the question
