Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter =2(l+b)

P=2(3x+x+2)

78=2(4x+2)

78=8x+4

8x=74

x=74/8

From here you will get the value of x. Put the value of x and will find the dimensions

Hope it helped you

Given :-

The length of a rectangle is 3x cm and its width is (x + 2) cm.

To Find :-

Dimensions

Solution :-

We know that

Perimeter = 2(l + b)

78 = 2[(3x) + (x + 2)]

78 = 2[4x + 2]

78/2 = 4x + 2

39 = 4x + 2

39 - 2 = 4x

37 = 4x

37/4 = x

9.25 = x

Length = 3(9.25) = 27.75

Breadth = 9.25 + 2 = 11.125
