Answer:

length=z+4

breadth=z

perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)

20=2(z+4+z)

10=2z+4

z=3

length is7

breadth is 3

ANSWER:-

Given:

The length of a rectangle is 4cm more than its Breadth. The breadth of a rectangle is z & the perimeter is 20cm.

To find:

Find the length & breadth of the rectangle.

Solution:

⚫Let the breadth of the rectangle be z.

⚫Let the length of ths rectangle be z+4cm.

⚫Perimeter= 20cm

According to the question:

We know that perimeter of rectangle;

=) 2(length+breadth)

=) 2(z+4 + z)= 20

=) 2(2z+4)= 20

=) 4z +8 = 20

=) 4z = 20 -8

=) 4z = 12

=) z= 12/4

=) z= 3

Thus,

Breadth of rectangle, z= 3cm

Length of rectangle, z+4= 3+4 = 7cm.

Hope it helps ☺️
