Let the breadth be x cm

So length=(x+4)cm

Given;Perimeter=40 cm

B/c;

2*(length+breadth)=Perimeter

2(x+4+x)=40

2(2x+4)=40

2x+4=20

2x=16

x=8.

Length=8+4=12cm

Breadth=8cm
