The length of a rectangle is 4 m less than 2 times width.If perimeter of the rectangle is 100 m,Find its dimensions ​

Answer:

let the breadth of rectangle = xm

then, length=( 2x-4) m

perimeter = 100m

perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)

100=2[(2x-4) +x]

100/2= 2x-4+x

50=3x-4

50+4=3x

54=3x

x =54/3

x=18

so, breadth= 18m

and length= 2×18-4

= 36-4

= 32
