Question:-

  • The length of a rectangle is 4 meter and breadth is 300 cm. Find its perimeter and area.

Given :-

  • Length of Rectangle = 4 meter

  • Breadth of Rectangle = 300 cm

To Find :-

  • Area of Rectangle

  • Perimeter of Rectangle.

Solution :-

Let the length of Rectangle is 'l' and breadth of Rectangle is 'b' so ,

 \star \sf \: l = 4 \: m

 \star \sf \: b = 300cm \\  \\  \sf \:   \mapsto \: b=  \frac{300}{100} \:  m \\   \\  \mapsto \sf \: b = 3 \: m

We know that :-

  •  \sf \: perimeter \: of \: rectangle = 2(l + w)

so,

 \star \sf \: perimeter \: of \: rectangle = 2(4 + 3) \\  \\  =  \sf \: 2 \times 7 \\  \\ \boxed{  \star \sf \: perimeter \: of \: rectangle = 14 \: m}

Now, we know that :-

  •  \sf \: area \: of \: rectangle = l \times b

so,

 \star \sf \: area \: of \: rectangle = 4 \times 3 \\  \\  =  \sf \: 12 \\  \\  \boxed{ \star \sf \: area \: of \: rectangle = 12 \:  {m}^{2} }
