Given :

The length of a rectangle is 4 time its width if the perimeter of the rectangle is 60 m

To find :

  • Length and breadth of rectangle

Solution :

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 60m

Let the width be x then length be 4x

According to formula of perimeter of rectangle

→ 2(length + breadth) = 60m

→ 2(4x + x) = 60

→ 5x = 60/2

→ 5x = 30

→ x = 6

•°• Width of rectangle = x = 6m

•°• Length of rectangle = 4x = 24m

Focus Zone :

★ 1kilometer = 1000m

★ Distance never be in negative

★ Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Question ::-

The length of a rectangle is 4 time its width if the perimeter of the rectangle is 60 metres find the length and the breadth of the rectangle.

Given ::-

  • The length of rectangle = 4 times to it's width.

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 60 m

To find ::-

  • Find the length of rectangle ?

  • Find the breadth of rectangle ?

Solution ::-

Let the breadth be x.

According to question ::-

• Length is 4 times to it's width .

• 4x

_______

• Perimeter of rectangle

• 60 m

_______

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth)

➠ 60 = 2 ( 4x + x )

➠ 60 = 2 ( 5x )

➠  \dfrac{60}{2} = 5x

➠ 30 = 5x

➠ x =  \dfrac{30}{5}

➠ x = 6cm.

___________

  • Length = 4x = 4 × 6 = 24m

  • Breadth = x = 6 cm.

__________

Let's explore more ::-

  • Area of rectangle = length × breadth

  • 1 km = 1000 m

  • 1 m = 100 cm
