The length of a rectangle is (4x + 5) and the breadth is (3x + 16). If the perimeter of

the rectangle is 532 m, find x and the length and breadth of the rectangle.​

Length= (4x + 5)

Breadth= (3x + 16)

The perimeter of rectangle = 532m

= 2(l+b) = 532m

= 2(4x+5 + 3x+16) = 532m

= ( 4x+5 + 3x+16) = 532m/2 = 266m

= (4x+3x) + (5+16) = 266m

= 7x + 21. = 266m

= 7x = 266m - 21 = 245m

= x = 245/7 = 35

So the value of x is 35

therefore,

length= (4x + 5) = 4 X 35 + 5 = 145m

breadth= (3x + 16) = 3 X 35 + 16 = 121m
