The length of a rectangle is 5 cm less than twice its breadth .if the length is decresed by 3cm and breadth increased by 2cm .the perimeter of the resulting rectangle is 72cm . Find the area of the original rectangle

Let,
The breadth be x
The length be 2x-5
As given we have to add changes
x+2x-5=72
x+2+2x-5-3=72
x= 26
As we wrote
breadth =26
length = 2x-5
= 2 × 26 -5
= 52-5
=47
