The length of a rectangle is 5 cm more than its breadth and its perimeter is 22 cm. Form a linear equation to represent this.

the full method requires [show] to complete.

if anyone completes it fully and with full method i will mark him/her as "brainliest".

Step-by-step explanation:

breadth of the rectangle = x

length of the rectangle = x+5

perimeter of the rectangle = 22 cm {2(l+b)}

substitute length and breadth with x+5 and x

therefore,

2{x+(x+5)} = 22

{x+(x+5)} = 22÷2

{x+x} = 11-5

2x = 6

x = 6÷2

x = 3

therefore, length = 3+5 = 8, breadth = 3

2(8+3) = 22
