Answer:

Let the breadth be x cm

length=x+5 cm

perimeter =2 (l+b)=

2 (x+5+x)=4x+10 cm

4x+10=40

4x=30

x=30/4=7.5

so breadth=7.5 cm ; length=12.5 cm

area=l×b= 12.5×7.5=93.75

so \: area \: = 93.75 {cm}^{2}

Hope its helpful!!!
