Answer

Area of rectangle = 150cm^2

Given:-

• Length = breadth + 5cm

• Perimeter = 50cm

Area of rectangle = ??

Solution:-

• Let the breadth be B cm

• Length = (B+5)cm

As we know:-

• Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

50 = 2(B+5+B)

50 = 2(2B+5)

50 = 4B + 10

4B = 50 - 10

4B = 40

B = 40 ÷ 4

B = 10

• Length = B+5 = 10+5 = 15cm

• Breadth = B = 10

Area of rectangle = l×b

Putting values,

• Area of rectangle = (15×10)cm^2

• Area of rectangle = 150 cm^2
