Answer:

length = 5cm more than the breadth

breadth = ?

To find breadth we will divide

50 ÷ 5 = 10

breadth = 10 cm

as the length is 5cm more than the breadth,

10 + 5 = 15 cm

length = 15 cm

Area of rectangle = l × b

= 15 × 10

= 150 sq cm.

Answer:

Let the breadth of the rectangle be xcm

Let the breadth of the rectangle be xcmThen it's length=x+5cm

Let the breadth of the rectangle be xcmThen it's length=x+5cmPerimeter=2(length+breadth)

Let the breadth of the rectangle be xcmThen it's length=x+5cmPerimeter=2(length+breadth)⇒70=2(x+(x+5))

⇒ \frac{70}{2}  = 2x + 5

⇒2x + 5 = 35

⇒2x=35−5=30

⇒x =  \frac{30}{2}  = 15 \: cm

Breadth=x=15 \: cm \:  and \ \: length=x+5=15+5=20cm
