The length of a rectangle is 5 cm more than twice its breadth. Find the dimensions of the

rectangle, if its perimeter is 310 cm.​

Let the breadth be x

and the length be 2x+5

Perimeter = 2 ( L + B )

310 = 2 ( 2x+5+x)

310 = 2 (3x+5)

310÷2 = 3x+5

155 = 3x+5

155-5 = 3x

150 = 3x

150÷3 = x

x = 50

Breadth = 50

Length = (2×50) + 5 = 105
