let the breadth of rectangle be x and then length will be x+5

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

here, 50 =2(x+x+5)

50/2 = 2x+5

25=2x+5

25-5=2x

20=2x

20/2 = x

10= x

then the breadth of rectangle is 10 m and length is 10+5=15m

hiii!!!

here's ur answer...

given that the length of the rectangle is 5m more than it's breadth.

let the breadth of the rectangle be x, therefore length of the rectangle will be = x + 5

perimeter of the rectangle = 50m

==> 2 ( L + B ) = 50m

==> 2 ( x + 5 + x ) = 50m

==> 2 ( 2x + 5 ) = 50m

==> 4x + 10 = 50m

==> 4x = 50 - 10

==> 4x = 40m

==> x = 40/4

==> x = 10m

hence, breadth of the rectangle = x

= 10m

length of the rectangle = x + 5

= 10 + 5

= 15m

VERIFICATION:-

perimeter of the rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

= 2 ( 15 + 10 )

= 2 × 25

= 50m

hence verified

hope this helps u..!
