Answer:

Let breadth be=b

then length=5 times the breadth= 5b

perimeter=24 units

perimeter=2(l+b)

24=2(5b+b)

24/2=5b+b

12=6b

12/6=b

b=2 units

l=5*2=10 units

length=10 units

Question:-

The length of a rectangle is 5 times its breath and its perimeter is 24 units . Find the length of the rectangle.

Answer:-

  • The length of Rectangle is 10 units

Solution:-

  • Let the breadth be x
  • Then, The length is 5x
  • Perimeter = 24 units

 \mathfrak{ \huge{ \purple{ \underline{ \underline{ \pink{ perimeter = 2(l + b)}}}}}}

\large{ \tt :  \implies \:  \: \:  \:  \:2(x + 5x) = 24}

\large{ \tt :  \implies \:  \: \:  \:  \:6x =  \frac{24}{2} } \\

\large{ \tt :  \implies \:  \: \:  \:  \:6x = 12}

\large{ \tt :  \implies \:  \: \:  \:  \:x =  \frac{12}{6} } \\

\large{ \tt :  \implies \:  \: \:  \:  \:x = 2 \: units}

  • The value of x is 2 units

Hence,

  • Length = 5x = 5×2 = 10 units
