Let the lenght ( l ) be x
Then width( b) =x+5
Area of rectangle= length *width
50=x(x+5)
50=x^2+5x
x^2+5x-50=0
x^2+10x -5x -50=0
x(x+10)-5(x+10)=0
x+10=0 or x-5=0
x= -10 or x=5
Length can't be negative so x=5cm
Width=x+5=5+5=10cm
Perimeter=2(l+b)
=2(5+10)
=2*15=30cm
