Perimeter of a rectangle is

p = 2*(l + b ).

where l is length of rectangle.

b is breadth of rectangle.

l is 6 cm more than b.

l = 6 + b.

give p = 60 cm.

2*(l + b)=60.

as l = 6+b.

2*(6+b+b)=60.

6+2b=60/2.

6+2b=30.

2b=30-6.

2b=24.

b=24/2.

b=12 cm(breadth).

l=6+b=6+12=18 cm(length).

Area = l*b = 18*12 = 216 sq.cm.
