Let the breadth of the rectangle be x cm

Then, Length of the rectangle = x + 6 cm

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2x + 2y

Perimeter of this rectangle = 60 cm

∴ 2x + 2y = 60 cm

  (2x + 12) + 2x = 60

  4x + 12 = 60

  4x = 48

  x   = 48/4

  x   = 12 cm

and, x+8 = 20 cm
