Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

The length of a rectangle is 6 more than thrice its breadth.

To find:-

what is perimeter of rectangle.

Solution:-

Let the breadth of a rectangle = b units

Then the length of the rectangle= 6 more than thrice its breadth

=>Length=6+3b units

Perimeter of a rectangle =2(l+b) units

=>P=2(6+3b+b)

=>P=2(6+4b)

=>P=12+8b

Therefore, Perimeter=(8b+12) units

Answer:-

Perimeter of the rectangle=(8b+12) units

Used formula:-

  • Perimeter of a rectangle=2(l+b) units

Where, l=length of the rectangle

and, b=breadth of the rectangle
