and length of rectangle be x+6

Area of rectangle =1216

l×b=1216

(x+6)x=1216

x^2+6x=1216

x^2+6x-1216=0

x^2-38x+32x-1216=0

x (x-38)+32 (x-38)=0

(x-38)(x+32)=0

x=38

length =6+x=6+38=44cm
