The length of a rectangle is 6m larger than three times of its breadth. If its perimeter is 148m. Find its length and breadth.

let the breadth be x cm

length be 3x+6 cm

perimeter = 2(l+b)

148 = 2(x+3x+6)

148/2 = 4x+6

74 = 4x+6

74-6 = 4x

68 = 4x

x = 68/4

x = 17

So, length = 17

breadth = 3x = 3 × 17 = 51
