let the breadth of the rectangle be b therefore its length is 3b minus 6 and according to the question perimeter of rectangle 148 metre therefore
2(length+breadth)=148
2(3b-6+b)=148
2(4b-6)=148
4b-6=74
then b= 80/4=20m and length equals to 60 minus 6 equal to 54 answer

Given - Perimeter

Find - Length and breadth

Solution - The length and breadth of the rectangle are 20 and 54 metres respectively.

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x centimetres. So, the length of the rectangle = 3x - 6

The perimeter of the rectangle is given by the formula = 2 (length + breadth).

Keeping the values in the formula to find the value of x

148 = 2 (x + 3x - 6)

4x - 6 = 148/2

4x - 6 = 74

4x = 74 + 6

4x = 80

x = 80/4

x = 20 metre

Length of rectangle = 20 metres

The breadth of the rectangle = 3x - 6

The breadth of the rectangle = 3*20 - 6

The breadth of the rectangle = 60 - 6

The breadth of the rectangle = 54 metres

The length and breadth of the rectangle are 20 and 54 metres respectively.
